Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026 · revision 2
- You give Navita health information so it can organize it for you. You can delete entries, and you can ask us to delete your account.
- We don't sell your personal information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
- To produce recommendations, briefings and summaries, what you share is processed by an AI provider, Anthropic. That is the main place your health information goes beyond our own systems. Section 4 spells out what is sent.
- Some of our team can access stored content to run, secure and support the service (section 6).
- Navita is not medical care and can be wrong. In an emergency, call 911.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the Navita iPhone app, the Navita web app at app.navita.health, and the website at navita.health (together, "Navita"), operated by AI Answers LLC, 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA ("we", "us"). Navita is for adults (18 or older) in the United States. It should be read with our Terms of Service and, for health information, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which forms part of this policy.
2. What we collect
What you give us
- Account details: your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive what that provider shares (typically name and email, or an Apple relay address if you hid your email).
- Health information you enter: symptoms and your conversation with Navita about them, journal entries, medications, conditions, allergies, measurements (such as blood pressure or temperature), notes about doctor visits, and answers you record during a visit.
- Photos you choose to share, such as a medication label, a lab result or a visit document. Photos can contain information you did not intend to share, so check them before you send them.
What Navita creates from what you share
Navita turns your entries into structured records: a list of current medications and conditions, a chronology of symptoms and doses, recommendations, doctor-visit briefings, and plain-language summaries. These are generated by AI, are stored with your account, and are as sensitive as the information they came from. They may contain errors.
Subscription information
If you subscribe, we store your plan and its status (for example active, canceled or payment problem). We do not see or store your card number. Payments are handled by Apple (iPhone) or by our web payment processor.
Technical information
Our servers keep routine logs (such as time, the feature called, error details and IP address) to keep the service secure and working. See section 7.
We also keep a record of your agreement to our Terms, Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy: which version of each you accepted, when, the type of device (iPhone or web), the app version, and your IP address at that moment. We keep it so we can show what you agreed to and honor your choices.
What we don't collect
- Audio. If you dictate, Navita never receives or stores your audio, only the resulting text. The speech-to-text step is done by your device or browser, not by us. On iPhone, Navita asks Apple's speech recognition to work on the device wherever your device and language support it; where they don't, Apple may process the audio on its servers. In a web browser, the browser's own speech service is used (in Chrome, operated by Google). Those services have their own privacy policies. Typing avoids this entirely.
- Your location, contacts, or Apple Health data. Navita does not read them.
3. How we use it
- To provide Navita: to respond to you, produce recommendations, prepare you for a visit and explain what you recorded from one.
- To keep your journal and current-health profile organized.
- To run subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and fraud, debug problems, and respond to support requests.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
4. AI processing
Navita's features are powered by a large language model from Anthropic, PBC. When you use a feature, we send Anthropic what it needs to respond: the text of your messages and entries, relevant parts of your journal, health profile and current episode, and any photo you share. We do not add your account name or email to what we send, but anything you type, including names or other identifying details, is sent.
Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms, which govern our use of its service, Anthropic may not train its models on content we send through its API, and it automatically deletes that content from its systems within 30 days, subject to limited exceptions described in its data retention policy. Those terms are Anthropic's and can change; we review them from time to time.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. It is not medical advice and is not reviewed by a clinician.
5. Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf to run Navita. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic, PBC | AI model behind Navita's responses and photo reading | Content described in section 4 |
| Google (Google Cloud, Firebase) | Hosting, database, file storage, sign-in | Everything we store: account, health records, photos |
| Apple, Google | Optional sign-in | Only what you authorize when you use them to sign in |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management across iPhone and web | An internal account number and purchase status. No health information. |
| Apple App Store; our web payment processor | Take payment | Payment details you give them directly |
We may also disclose information when required by law (for example, a valid subpoena or court order), to protect someone's safety, or to protect our rights, and we will tell you first where we are permitted to. If Navita is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy, and we will tell you if that changes how your health information is handled.
6. Staff access
Authorized members of our team can view stored content, including health information, when needed to operate and secure the service, investigate abuse or errors, respond to your support request, or meet legal obligations. We limit this to what is needed for that purpose.
7. Logs and diagnostics
Our logs are meant to record how the service is behaving, not what you wrote. However, error messages and diagnostic records can incidentally contain parts of the content you submitted. Logs are accessible only to authorized personnel and are kept for a limited period.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our apps and websites use only what is needed to keep you signed in and the service working. We do not currently use advertising or analytics trackers. Our web pages load fonts from Google, which receives your IP address when the page loads. If we add analytics, we will update this policy first.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for advertising, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of.
9. How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete individual journal entries in the app; deleting an entry also removes the facts derived from it.
To delete your account, open Settings in the app and choose "Delete my account". It takes effect immediately and removes your account, sign-in, episodes and conversations, journal and health profile, and stored photos. If you cannot use the app, email contact@ai-answers.app from the address on the account; we will verify the request and complete it within 45 days. Deletion cannot be undone.
What we keep after you delete. So that we can show what you agreed to if there is ever a dispute, we keep a minimal record for 4 years after deletion, then delete it. It holds one-way keyed hashes of your email address and account identifier (so a record can be found if you contact us or bring a claim, but the record itself does not show who you are), which versions of our documents you accepted, when, and whether that was on iPhone or the web. It contains no IP address, no health information and no content you entered, and we use it for nothing else.
Encrypted backups of our database are kept for a limited period, currently up to about 7 days, so deleted information can remain in backups until they age out. We may keep limited records where the law requires or to resolve disputes, detect fraud, or enforce our agreements. Your subscription is managed by Apple or our web payment processor, so cancel it there as well; deleting your account does not cancel it.
10. Your choices and rights
You can access, correct and delete what you have entered in the app. Beyond that, depending on where you live (including California, Washington and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, receive a copy, correct it, delete it, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email contact@ai-answers.app from the address on the account. We may need to verify your identity, and an authorized agent may act for you with your written permission. We respond within 45 days (we may extend once by up to 45 more days and will tell you why).
If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our response with the word "appeal"; we will answer within 45 days and explain how to contact your state attorney general if you are still not satisfied.
Health information is also covered by our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which includes additional rights, such as withdrawing consent.
California notice at collection
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, which we disclose only to the service providers in section 5 for the business purposes in section 3. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not knowingly collect it from anyone under 18. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing (California Civil Code 1798.83).
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identifiers | Email, name, account number, IP address; after deletion, only keyed hashes of your email and account identifier (see section 9) |
| Sensitive: health information | Symptoms, medications, conditions, allergies, measurements, visit notes, AI-generated summaries |
| Sensitive: account log-in | Sign-in credentials managed by our authentication provider |
| Commercial information | Plan and subscription status |
| Audio, electronic or visual information | Photos you upload |
| Internet or network activity | Server logs; records of your agreement to our documents |
| Inferences | AI-generated records derived from what you share |
We use and disclose sensitive personal information only to provide the service you asked for and for the security and integrity purposes permitted by law.
11. Security and breaches
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and restricted access, and photos are stored privately and shown to you through time-limited links. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your information, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
12. Navita is not medical care
Navita organizes what you tell it and suggests questions and next steps. It does not diagnose or treat, it is not a substitute for a clinician, and no clinician reviews your information. If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Navita is not offered by a healthcare provider, health plan or healthcare clearinghouse, and does not act on behalf of one. We therefore do not believe HIPAA applies to information you share with Navita. We protect it under this policy and applicable consumer protection and privacy laws.
13. Children
Navita is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and where the law requires your consent for a new use of your health information, we will ask for it first. The date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
