Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Last updated October 4, 2026 · revision 2
This policy explains how AI Answers LLC ("we", "us") handles consumer health data in Navita. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to everyone, and it is written to meet state consumer health data laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act. If the two documents differ, this one controls for consumer health data.
1. What we collect and why
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Health conditions, symptoms and status | Symptoms you describe, conditions, allergies, visit notes | To respond to you, produce recommendations and briefings, and keep your health profile |
| Treatment and medication information | Medications, doses, treatment plans you record | To track what you take and prepare you for visits |
| Measurements | Blood pressure, temperature and similar readings | To chart trends for you |
| Health-related photos and documents | Medication labels, lab results, visit documents | To read them and add the information to your records |
| AI-generated health information | Recommendations, briefings, summaries and profile records derived from the above | To deliver the service |
We do not use consumer health data for advertising, and we do not collect it to infer location or to build profiles unrelated to the service you requested.
2. Where it comes from
Only from you: what you type, what you dictate through your device's speech recognition (we receive the text, never the audio), and the photos you upload. We also generate records from your input using AI. We do not obtain consumer health data about you from data brokers or other third parties.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers or social networks. We disclose it only to the following service providers, who process it on our behalf to run Navita:
| Recipient | Category | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic, PBC | AI model provider | Generating Navita's responses and reading photos |
| Google LLC (Google Cloud, Firebase) | Cloud infrastructure provider | Hosting, database, file storage and sign-in |
We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data. We may also disclose it where the law requires, for example in response to valid legal process.
4. Your consent
We collect and use consumer health data only with your consent, which we ask for on a separate screen, with its own checkbox, the first time you sign in (and again whenever these documents materially change), and only for the purposes above. We record when you give it and which version of this policy you saw. We will ask for a separate, specific authorization before any sale of consumer health data (we do not sell it) or any sharing not necessary to provide Navita. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at contact@ai-answers.app; because Navita cannot work without this data, withdrawing consent means we will delete your account and data as described below.
5. Your rights
- Confirm and access: ask whether we collect your consumer health data, and receive a copy, including a list of the third parties and affiliates it has been shared or sold to (see section 3) and a way to contact them.
- Withdraw consent to our collection and sharing.
- Delete: we will delete your consumer health data from our records, including from archived and backup systems, and notify the providers in section 3 to delete it too. Backups currently age out within about 7 days.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
After you delete, we keep one thing: a minimal record of which versions of our documents you accepted and when, held under keyed hashes rather than your name or email, for 4 years, so we can prove what you agreed to if there is a dispute. It contains no consumer health data. See section 9 of our Privacy Policy.
To exercise a right, email contact@ai-answers.app from the address on your account. We may verify your identity first. We respond within 45 days, and may extend once by up to 45 more days if we tell you why.
Appeal. If we decline your request, reply to our response with the word "appeal"; we will answer within 45 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general. For Washington residents: atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
6. Who can access it
Access to consumer health data is limited to authorized personnel and contractors who need it to operate, secure and support the service, and who are bound to keep it confidential. See also section 6 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects how we collect, use or share consumer health data, we will tell you first and, where required, ask for your consent again before the change applies to you.
